On March 31st the Pawnee Heights Junior High scholars' bowl team took the League Champion title in the Varsity division at South Central. After a jaw-clenching season of second place finishes in nearly every meet, the team was able to catch hold of first place for the first time this past week at Minneola. "They've done a lot of hard work and it is their talent and effort that put them here," says Coach Cole Brownlee, "I am very proud of them." Eighteen students compete each week for a spot on the Varsity team, and Coach Brownlee places the emphasis on rising above the fear of failure. "This is an incredibly important activity because not only is it fun, but it emphasizes our primary goal: a well-rounded education for our children." Thursday's team consisted of Thomas Boese, Evelyn Brownlee, Abby Hands, Cody Holste, Alexis Ibarra, Aylah Kolb, and Logan Nava. Congratulations, Tigers!
